Why convert my tapes to DVD?
Video tapes degrade each time they are played, eventually
rendering them useless. DVDs can be played indefinitely
without causing damage to the media and the content stored on
the disc. For many of us, our memories were recorded on
tapes, aren't they worth keeping forever? Unlike a video
tape, many industry experts agree that a DVD (properly handled
and stored) can maintain it's original qualify for over 100
years, regardless of playback frequency. |

|
Do you convert PAL or SECAM standard tapes?
No, we DO NOT convert PAL or SECAM stardard tapes, only NTSC standard tapes and DVDs. |

What does $20 Per Hour/Tape mean?
For every hour of video, the charge is $20, and any increment of minutes after each hour, you are charged another $20.
So, a 30 minute tape and a 60 minute tape are both $20 each, but a 90 minute tape and a 120 minute tape is $40. For more information, see the examples
in the next section below.

Does a 30 minute tape cost the same as a 1 Hour tape to convert to a DVD?
Yes, converting a 30 minute tape will cost the same as an 1 hour tape or recording. And once
each hour is reached, the same will apply to any additional minutes.
For example: (based on a $20 per hour tape onto 1
DVD)
15 Minute Tape/Recording on 1 Tape/1 DVD = $20 (1 Hrs x $20)
30 Minute Tape/Recording on 1 Tape/1 DVD = $20 (1 Hrs x $20)
30 Minute Tape/Recording on 2 Tapes/1 DVD = $20 (1 Hrs x $20)
45 Minute Tape/Recording on 1 Tape/1 DVD = $20 (1 Hrs x $20)
45 Minute Tape/Recording on 2 Tapes/1 DVD = $20 (1 Hrs x $20)
60 Minute Recording on 1 Tape/1 DVD = $20 (1 Hrs x $20)
60 Minute Recording on 2 Tapes/1 DVD = $20 (1 Hrs x $20)
90 Minute Recording on 1 Tape/1 DVD = $40 (2 Hrs x $20)
90 Minute Recording on 2 Tapes/1 DVD = $40 (2 Hrs x $20)
90 Minute Recording on 3 Tapes/1 DVD = $40 (2 Hrs x $20)
More than 90 Minutes will need to be put on 2 DVDs
or 1 DL (Dual Layer) DVD for an extra cost.
In many cases,
compiling multiple tapes/recordings onto 1 DVD can save some money
(see example above).
If you have a 15, 25, and a 30 minute recording, and you want to convert
them to a DVD, that would cost $60, because normally each recording would be converted
to a separate DVD at $20 a piece, thus creating 3 DVDs, and each under an hour. But, if we compiled all the recordings
onto 1 DVD, it would only be $40, since the total time is
70 Minutes.

|
How many tapes can be converted to 1 DVD?
It's NOT the amount of tapes or recordings we are worried about, but actually
total time of the recordings. We normally like to
fit up to 90 minutes (1:30 Hrs/Mins) of recordings onto 1 DVD, this way the
quality of the recording is not compromised. We try to avoid lowering
or compromising the quality of the video, that is the reason it's getting converted to a DVD in the first place. |

|
We don't live in the area, can we ship our tapes?
We rather have you drop off the tapes, or we can come to you.
If you live outside the Boca Raton, Coconut Creek, Parkland, and
Coral Springs area, you can still drop them off, or we can come
to you, but with a fee. Besides, do you want to send your
memories thru the mail? |
|
 |
|
Can you make copies of a DVD?
We will make copies of a DVD, only if you own the copyright or
the content on the DVD. We WILL NOT make illegal
copies of DVDs! What we can do is convert most DVDs to
other media types (Sony PSP, PDA, and other Media Players), as
long as you own the DVD, and for personal use only. |
|
 |
|
Why convert a DVD to other media types?
If you travel a lot, either for business or vacation, it's
nice to bring a movie to watch to kill time, especially at the
airport, on a plane, or on the road. However, it's not
easy to lug laptops around, or you may not have a DVD player in
your car. If this is the case, all you need is a Mobile
Phone, PDA, MP3, or Portable Game Player to watch the same DVD,
but converted for your portable device. Remember, not all
portable devices are capable of playing movies, if you are not
sure yours can, just give us a call, we will let you know. |
|
 |
|
How long does it take to process my order?
Depending on how many DVDs your need created or converted,
your order should be completed within one business day. |
